Hi everyone and welcome to CT REVIEWS!!
This is going to be a part of my journal aside from my rants (although I'm not saying there won't be ranting in here

) where I take the time to read books or play video games and then review them.

Let's get started with a little book, or rather, a quite large book, adored and abhorred by a large majority of female teenagers, Twilight.
No. Not the Twilight series. Twilight. The first book.
Now, if you're reading this you're probably going to think one of two things.
1.) "AWMIGOD SHE'S REVIEWING TWILIGHT I LOVE TWILIGHT EDDY-KINS SQUEE I WANNA BE BELLAAAAAAH!!!oneeleven!!!111!!2"
or
2.) "AWMIGOD SHE'S REVIEWING TWILIGHT I HATE TWILIGHT STEPHENIE MEYER SUCKS SO BAD RANT RANT RANT YOU SUUUUUUUCK!!!oneeleven!!!111!!2"
If you are thinking anyone of those statements, you can kindly go LURK MOAR.
This is an honest review of MY OPINIONS (Key word: OPINIONS) on Twilight.
*ahem*
Now, I won't lie, so I'm going to say this right off the bat.
When I first bought the book Twilight, I expected it to be a steaming shit bomb and that I would drop it on the floor in disgust. Why? Because that's all I heard on the internet about it. About how bad twilight was, and how much of a disgrace to the literary world it was, and how the fangirls will kick your ass if you so much as say that Edward Cullen is not godly in any way, shape, or form.
THIS. This is not the case.
You see, I actually enjoyed reading Twilight. It (contrary to popular belief) DOES have a decent storyline, the main characters ARE well developed (Though the supporting characters DO need a bit of work), and the whole love thing between Edward and Bella with the human-falls-in-love-with-the-vampire-and-it's-very-tough-all-around thing is actually fairly good.
The main problems I DID have with twilight however is a problem I found with the whole series.
The 'remaking' of the vampire species's weaknesses.
YES. YES. I
AM REFERRING TO THE SPARKLING. I am also referring to the fact that they have venom.
Okay...
The Sparkling Issue:
It is well known that vampires are weak to the sun on some level. Whether they vaporize, burn to a crisp, get burned into nothing but ash, or just step in the sun and go "FRIKKIN OW", all vampires are vulnerable to the sun TO SOME EXTENT. PERIOD. The whole sparkling thing and making them entirely immune to the sun is just stretching it too thin for me to swallow there.
Then there's always...
The Venom Issue:
Since when do vampires have VENOM? O_o Just...WTF dude? This made me...well, this made me lol. This is just so stupid and out there even for vamps that I just had to laugh.
Anyway, it's one of the better books in the series overall and I was pleased with it.
This has been CT REVIEWS! with a review of Twilight.
Next time: New Moon!

Until next time,
